Mr. Arnold is Florida’s first attorney to be certified in Board Certified Education Law and Criminal Trial Law.  Mr. Arnold is a member of Florida and Georgia Bars who graduated with Honors from the University of Florida earning an undergraduate degree in History as well as his Juris Doctor. Mr. Arnold spent four and one-half years as a prosecutor for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in Duval, Nassau, and Clay counties.  In total, Mr. Arnold has more than 50 jury trials as first chair and more than 100 second chairs and non-jury trials.  Mr. Arnold was assigned to Misdemeanor, Felony, Auto Theft, Repeat Offender Court, and Special Prosecution/White Collar Crime. In Special Prosecution, Mr. Arnold handled many high profile public corruption and theft cases.

Mr. Arnold opened the Arnold Law Firm in 2005.  The focus of his practice is acting as general counsel to the Arnold Law Firm’s charter school and education management clients.  His practice includes civil litigation, contract negotiation, employment law, disputes with school districts and the Florida Department of Education, parents and students of his clients, ESE and 504 litigation, as well as other counselor at law services.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Arnold ran a successful restaurant franchise in South Florida for four years.

Mr. Arnold has been actively coaching in youth sports for more than 25 years, coaching baseball, basketball, and track in private sports organizations, the YMCA, the Jewish Community Alliance, and public school teams in West Palm Beach, Gainesville, and Jacksonville.  Among other lectures given by Mr. Arnold, he has lectured on Title IX issues for charter schools.  Mr. Arnold has also advised charter schools on disputes with school districts, other schools, and FSHAA. 

Mr. Arnold was the Chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association Criminal Law Section from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, from 2004 to 2008, Mr. Arnold served as the Commissioner of Athletics for the Jacksonville Bar Association. Mr. Arnold was also recognized as one of the top attorneys in Florida by Jacksonville Magazine as well as by SuperLawyers.com.  Mr. Arnold has lectured in numerous settings for his charter school clients, including presentations to staff of clients, presentations made at school districts, webinars for the Florida Charter Support Unit, and at the Florida Charter School conference. 

Mr. Arnold is married to Melissa Gross-Arnold, partner at the Arnold Law Firm. They have one son, Benjamin.
